Maybe It's Just Me...

Maybe it's just me... or maybe it's not...

With how much this world has "evolved" and how much technology has "advanced," why is it that the world just seems to be more ignorant, stupid, and lazy?

I mean, if you plan on making a purchase amongst several people, plan on having one order instead of separated, yet want to split the bill/total, why can you not determine your own costs/amounts when you want it divvied up? If you want to split the bill, either decide on how much you each want to pay or simply make a separate order. If you want to make one order and then split the price, you do your own math so that if you or one of your friends have to pay more, you have yourselves to blame.

And again back to the ignorance that seems to have grown over the years... I AM AMERICAN. If you ask me where I'm from, I'm going to answer with, "I'm from New Jersey." DO NOT refuse my answer and then ask me where I'm from again. If you knew where I was from, why did you ask in the first place? Just because I have a different skin tone does not make me a native from another country.

As for the growing laziness, is it that difficult to pick up after yourself? If you don't want your receipt after making a purchase, put it in the trash yourself. If you smoke a cigarette, use an ashtray. If you get fast food, don't throw the trash out the window of your car; wait til you get somewhere that has a trash can and dispose of it properly. If you drink beer, why do the bottles have to get broken all over the ground (leading to hazards to passersby and vehicles) or cans that get thrown all over, then float and clog up drainage pipes?

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, why does it seem that the people you should be able to talk to easily about anything, sometimes tend to be the hardest ones? Timing just never seems right. Maybe it's me. A part of me wishes that parts of my past just never happened, and another part of me knows it did and that I should just keep my past behind me. I know I also tend to overanalyze, more so when I've got time to myself and not doing anything, and I suppose I am too hard on myself. \

Which brings about the never-ending debate:

Am I too hard on myself OR am I pushing myself to be better than I am?

Introducing a Member of the Class of 2008:

ME!

I'm graduating... finally! I'm excited, though I'm not walking. I kind of hate having grown up in this American culture. A society that is big on things like this, for the most part, with walking for graduation. A society that makes me want to have the whole graduation ceremony and getting a graduation party and all those sorts of things. My family's not really big on throwing parties for anything really, and it's not that I even really need a party. I just kind of want it because it's what most Americans do. I've grown up seeing it on TV shows and with friends getting those parties and such. So it's a little sad to not have that. However, I did get a graduation card in the mail from my cousin.

Anyway, today, a group of us (about ten people in total) including me, Sarah J. Sarah P., Brittaney, Zork, Dorsch, and others went to see "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian." Such a good movie. I never read the other books aside from the first, "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" so I had no idea what was to happen. I loved the movie and can't wait til it's out on DVD. I'm on vacation from work as of 6:30 earlier today... and staying out of there for two weeks. I do have an Alaskan cruise planned, and I can't wait to relax. Well, that's all for now. This has been another briefing by Sandy, and now, back to you...

Not Much That's New

So I haven't been on in a while... I haven't wanted to. There's not much new going on. Last day of classes is around April 29th, with last day of final exams being May 9th. Graduation day is approaching on May 18th, and although there is a small part of me that wants to walk for the fact that it's graduation; I've decided not to for three reasons: 1) it'll be boring, 2) I've got to get back to Jersey by the 20th (cruise planned), and most importantly 3) I haven't really lost any weight and I don't want to have another fat graduation picture of me like with my high school graduation. I'm very unhappy about my weight and unhappy with my appearance. I make jokes about it and wear baggy t-shirts so the clothes don't cling to my body. I've changed my diet and have been eating healthier, smaller meals more often, nothing's changed. It's to the point where I think I might go back to my old ways of taking drastic measures to lose weight...

This was going to be a decently lengthy entry, but I'm not in the mood to write anymore...
